Colorectal cancer

Colorectal cancer

Colon cancer is a type of cancer that begins in the large intestine (colon). The colon is the final part of the digestive tract.

Laparoscopic low anterior resection

It involves the extraction of the rectum to remove the tumor under minimally invasive techniques, with an early recovery and return to daily activities.

Sigmoidectomy

An extraction of the sigmoid colon, which is the last part of the colon, is performed before reaching the rectum, always making an intestinal connection.

Left hemicolectomy

In this case, the tumor located on the left side of the colon is removed.

Right hemicolectomy

In this case, the tumor located on the right side of the colon is removed.

Transanal resection

I am trained to perform this procedure, preserving the anal sphincter whenever possible.
